Brian Morris is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces master sergeant. Serving on active duty for 25 years, he spent the majority of his time in the Special Forces as a Green Beret. He is a highly decorated combat veteran who has been recognized for valor and bravery on the battlefield, as well as for tenacity and selfless service throughout his long and distinguished military career.
Since September 11, 2001, Morris served multiple tours in Afghanistan during the global war on terrorism. Additionally, he has deployed throughout Africa, Bosnia, Iraq, Kuwait, Korea, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Europe.
Morris has also taught at the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) School, was the lead instructor at the Resistance Training Lab and wrote SERE doctrine for The Army Special Forces, including the Army Special Operations Forces Resistance and Escape Manual.
An expert in operations and intelligence, interrogation and body language, as well as antiterrorism and personal security techniques, tactics and procedures, he is highly proficient in small unit tactics, light and heavy weapons employment, sniper operations, hand-to-hand combat and static line, as well as Military Free-Fall (MFF/HALO) parachute infiltration techniques.
Morris is fluent in French, has a basic understanding of several other languages and is highly proficient in cross-cultural communications. The American Military University awarded Morris a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security.
After retiring from the Army in 2012, he spent a year in Afghanistan working as a counterinsurgency advisor for the International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) commander. He then spent three years working as a survival, evasion, resistance and escape (SERE) and personnel recovery senior analyst for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
Morris is now the owner and CEO of SF24 Solutions, a security consulting firm that offers threat assessment and mitigation training for high-risk travel. In addition, he is also the Lead Instructor for American Survival Guide University, at which he teaches and produces survival videos related to wilderness survival and bushcraft, emergency preparedness and prepping.
He is the author of two books: the highly acclaimed Green Beret Pocket Guide: Terrorism Awareness and Personal Security and his newly released book, Spec Ops Shooting: a Green Beret’s Guide to Combat Shooting Mastery & Active Shooter Defense. He has appeared on television and been a guest on many talk radio shows.
Morris, his wife and three children live just outside Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
